The Global Sales Director is responsible for delivering new business from both existing and new customers in APAC, North America and EMEA through a team of Sales Managers and a back office. The Global Sales Director primary role is to lead, manage and inspire the team to deliver at or above the new business target plan for the regions on a consistent basis. The Global Sales Director is based in Uppsala and reports to the CEO.

Key responsibilities 

  • Lead by example – A corner stone to build trust internally and gain customer insights is to take an operative lead in the sales
  • Report to the CEO, actively participate in the management team meetings, be responsible for the global sales plan and strategic direction for each region (EMEA, NA and APAC)
  • Bringing new business to PCG Solutions through: Net new customers, Cross Sell to existing customers, Add-on licenses to existing customers
  • Deliver revenue growth in each region and achieve or exceed your regional plan
  • Ensure high customer success and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the team has a hunting/closing skill set while building relationships throughout the regions and customer base
  • Ensure the team is performing with high activity levels and high conversion/win rates. Personally be involved in key/large deals to ensure they are won
  • Entrepreneurial approach. Identify new ways to succeed and drive growth. Build a long-term growth strategy for the region

Desired skills and experience

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in a software sales environment – preferable in a global context
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience within clinical trials
  • 2 - 5 years’ experience as a sales manager for a SaaS company
  • Results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing a high-performing and proactive sales organization
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • High level of English and preferable Swedish
  • Strong value-based leadership style and proven experience as successful and appreciated leader. Ability to motivate your team as well as hold them accountable for results
  • Coaching leader who is open, honest and direct in your communications
  • Collaborating with everyone, helping others when you can as well as proactively seek the help/advice of your management team.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, executive presence, and judgment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and closing skills
  • Pragmatic proactive, integrity and strong ethics
  • Ability to frequent travel local and international
